Ingrid Atterberg
Swedish (1920 – 2008)
Having trained at Gothenburg's Slöjdföreningens Skolan (Handicrafts School), Ingrid Atterberg was especially attuned to Sweden's focus on everyday quality goods popular in the 1950s. She began a fifty-year career of designing for Upsala-Ekeby (1886-1980) in 1944 at only nineteen years old. Atterberg's ceramic designs often feature stylized natural motifs. Source: Cleveland Museum
